VANCOUVER, December 20 2021 - EasyPark, an innovative supplier of parking management services in Vancouver, BC, has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by 29% over a 2015 Climate Smart baseline.
This is equivalent to 158,139 fewer kilometers driven by a passenger car, according to Climate Smart Businesses Inc. (Climate Smart), a Radicle Group Company, who conducts the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions training and certification program. Radicle has certified EasyPark as Climate Smart and Carbon Neutral for their 2020 inventory year.
“EasyPark is currently the only parking company enrolled in the Climate Smart program and we have been tracking our greenhouse gas emissions with Climate Smart since 2013,” said Nigel Bullers, CEO of EasyPark.
“We are committed to aligning our objectives with the City of Vancouver’s Climate Emergency Action Plan to reduce our collective carbon pollution by 50% by 2030. This is critical to our sustainability mandate and Climate Smart is essential in helping us achieve it.”

Internal measures range from recycling and carpooling to investing in electric and hybrid vehicles and purchasing carbon offsets for emissions it’s unable to reduce. EasyPark reduced their emissions by 97.46 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) in 2020.
For clients, EasyPark has installed more than 100 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and 175 car share stalls, and reduced electricity use by 38% through actions such as LCD lighting conversions, saving over $65,000 annually.
