Canadian Parking Association Supervisor of the Year Award
Toronto, Ontario, Sept. 17, 2018—For the second year in a row, an EasyPark supervisor has received high honours from the Canadian Parking Association. Chelsea Kidd, Supervisor of Customer Service, Collection and Monthly Parking, was presented with the “Supervisor of the Year” award at the CPA’s annual Conference in Toronto, Ontario.
Ms Kidd leads a team of nine Customer Service Representatives, and is noted for her “customers first” approach.
“Chelsea advocates for customers constantly by ensuring we are doing the right things for our clients,” says Jennifer Gee, EasyPark Vice-President, Human Resources. “That includes considering lighting, wayfinding and safe walks. She also ensures that customer’s comments and suggestions are considered by EasyPark ... in our operational meetings and guide EasyPark in how we ‘make parking easy’ for our customers.”
Ms Kidd is regarded as a mentor who encourages her team to bring any and all skills to the job. For example, she once sent a team member who’s also a photographer to take pictures of parking lots to help determine the best locations for meters.
Under Chelsea Kidd’s leadership, her team’s Key Performance Indicators and customer service scores are in the top percentile in the industry. In fact, the most compelling endorsement of her work can be found on three walls in the EasyPark offices, which are literally papered with customer commendations:
· I am very impressed with your service. It makes parking in Vancouver so much easier.
· ... customer service [can be] truly tested, and you passed with flying colors! Thank you for your professionalism!
· I locked my keys in my car and EasyPark got the out for free!
· Thanks to the kind person on the other end of the phone who got us help to find our car. After being driven around by a security person in a golf cart for half an hour, we figured out we were in the wrong building. Thank you for your patience.
Ms Kidd describes herself as a “parking nerd” and is constantly upgrading her knowledge of the parking industry and EasyPark’s services to its clients – while keeping an eye on the competition. With her businesslike, yet compassionate, approach, Ms Kidd and her team are credited with helping to change the public perception of parking in Metro Vancouver. EasyPark is duly proud to have her on its side.
The “Supervisor of the Year” award is one of six awards that are showcased at the annual conference for the CPA, which is held in a different Canadian city each year.
This is the second Supervisor of the Year Award for an EasyPark Supervisor. Sing Yu was named “Supervisor of the Year” for 2017 at the CPA’s annual Conference in Banff, Alberta, for his work in the Vancouver Chinatown community.
